The 2015 Fall Executive Committee (EC) Elections process is now complete. The voting process of the JCP started in June 2015.
This year, there were 8 Ratified and 3 Elected Seats by the community. They are major companies and entities, and now they will have the job to represent the interests of companies and Java developers worldwide in the JCP standardization process.
The SouJava again was ratified by the world community, one of the organizations with greater acceptance (second place, right after RedHat). Among the elected candidates, the London Java Community is among the top rated. This shows the strength and importance of Java User Groups within the JCP and the Java community as a whole.
We feel honored by this recognition, and to be recognized as equals with candidates as important as Eclipse Foundation, IBM, Intel, Red Hat, Twitter and many other large companies in the global Java market.
I would like to congratulate all the elected candidates:
Credit Suisse, Ericsson, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, Red Hat and Technology Java Users Society – SouJava
Open Election Seats:
Eclipse Foundation, London Java Community and Twitter
